A simple, automated, 5 step, easy-to-follow system that will help you build a list of prospects that buy from you.
1 Think about your product or service.
Make a list of the benefits and the value of the product or service that you offer. Leave out the hype. People buy a product or service to solve a specific problem, not some super duper, cutting edge, one of a kind, solve all product or service. Identify the benefits and the value your product or service offers. You want to be able to solve a specific problem for a certain type of prospect.
2 Identify your prospects.
Identify the type of prospect you want to work with. Identify what really matters to your prospects. What motivates them to seek you out? What problems do you solve for them? What keeps them awake at night. Anything that you can come up with that helps to identify them will help you build a list of prospects quicker and easier.
Now that your target prospect has been identified, you have to identify the action you want them to take.
3 Identify the action you want them to take
The objective of all this is what? To build a list of prospects! So, you have to convince your prospects to fill in a contact form for more information and register to download a free report and get on your e-mail list. A good list building page should have some effective bullet points on it, and it should do a thorough job of explaining what the prospect will be able to access after they enters their info.
4 Create what your list wants
It goes without saying that this has to be done with with your prospects best interest in mind. Offer a free report that is genuine and of value. You must always have your customers best interest in mind. If you are in the business of selling products or services online, then it could actually be said that you are also in the business of educating your market.
When it comes to your product or service, you are the expert. Your prospects are the students, and you have a vested interest teaching them as much as you can about how they can use your products and services to improve their life.
5 Follow up.
You've presented your capabilities and ideas. Don't stop there. It doesn't do any good to build a list of prospects and not follow up with them. Follow up with your prospect list is essential. This is a major part of the process and should be taken as seriously as the other steps. No I am not talking about spamming, I am talking about sending emails to your client that they can't wait to receive.
And finally, you want to send the emails at a regular basis, but not too often, so your subscribers don't forget who you are, or worse, get overwhelmed by your messages. Ok, that is how you build a list of prospects. Now go do it.
